What is the story about? The book opens an exiting gateway to the realm of fantasy, creativity and art. Sophia, ten years old, likes to draw and paint. And what she paints comes alive. She invents two fantastic creatures: the dolphin-zebra-butterfly and the monkey-pig-parrot. Sophia and the two creatures experience fantastic adventures together – they are able to fly into pictures! And there they experience how a river flies through the sky, how a race with an ant takes place, they dive into the pictures „The soft watches“ by Salvador Dali and „The monk by the sea“ by Casper David Friedrich. The book has philosophical aspects – it`s about questions of creativity, friendship, time, being… It is playfully curious about the world of art and pictures. Children are encouraged to be creative themselves and find a picture idea with little tricks.
